马来西亚爱石协会会长陈宝华
首先我谨代表马来西亚爱石协会衷心地感谢中国广西东方石文化研究交流中心、中国广西艺术品收藏协会及中国广西观赏石协会邀请本会参加首届中国——马来西亚国际赏石及书画艺术邀请展。
贵会能够在中国黄金假期，又适逢中国——东盟博览会期间，举办此项国际性展览，您们的努力，排除万难，使本会深深地感动。
本人首次遇到马鸿斌先生是在2006年9月。当时马先生是应邀为马来西亚盆景古石协会展赛会的评审。后来又在同年十月中在宿州的灵璧石展赛会中相见。在我的印象中，马先生是个博学多才、精力充沛的艺术家。有他参与此项国际展应该得到事半功倍的效果。
自从2006年10月30日，中国——东盟建立对话关系十五周年纪念峰会在中国广西南宁市举办，今年就陆续有许多广西的文艺经济团体来马来西亚交流。此次贵会主催此项国际展，使我们有机会参与促进马来西亚与中国的赏石文化交流与合作。赏石文化源自中国，而我国的赏石文化历史尚浅，为了实现本会的“从石会友”的目标，此次应邀出席此项国际邀请展，希望我会国人趁此机会学习更多的赏石知识。
最后，本人预祝首届中国——马来西亚国际赏石及书画艺术邀请展展出成功。感谢您们的努力与付出，使这项盛会能成功举行。为大家留下一个难以忘怀的经验！

      Firstly, on behalf of my society, I would like to express my heartfelt
thanks to Guangxi Research & Exchange Centre for the Eastern Stone Culture, Guangxi Arts Collector Association and Guangxi View Stone Association for inviting us to participate in this first China- Malaysia International Shangshi and Calligraphy & Painting Arts Exhibition.
      We are very touched by your ability to carry out this international exhibition, overcoming many difficulties especially during this busy period of the Chinese golden holidays and China- ASEAN Expo.
      I first met Mr. Ma Hongbin in September,2006. He was then invited to be a judge during the Malaysia Penjing & Gushi Association’s exhibition and competition. I again met Mr. Ma in the following month in Suzhou Lingbi Stone Culture Festival in China. In my mind, Mr. Ma is a talented artist full of vigour. With his assistance, the success of this international meet is already assured.
    Following the 15^th anniversary of the China- ASEAN Dialogue Summit held in Nanning, Guangxi on 30-10-2006, some of the Guangxi cultural and economical groups have been coming to Malaysia to exchange ideas and opportunities. With this invitation, we have an opportunity to exchange the stone knowledge and experience between the two countries. Stone culture originated from China. Our own stone culture history is short. Thus, this international event allows our members to learn from the Chinese counterparts.
     Lastly, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the organizing committee of this international meet for making this event a successful and memorable one for all of us.
